Freedom Xmas (SP)

Can you believe Christmas is just around the corner? Never fear if you’re of the disorganised type like me, because Freedom has you covered in every single way. Whether you need inspiration to decorate your dining table with the most gorgeous of serving and tableware, perhaps you’re searching for a last minute Kris Kringle gift or maybe you’re after some easy and portable extra furniture to accommodate all of those guests you’ve invited over? Freedom is your one stop shop.

I’ve been crowing about Freedom’s reemergence as a dominant player in Australia’s furniture and homewares space for some time now and with their Christmas offering revealed, it’s not hard to see why they should be your first destination.

I was lucky enough to catch up with Korryn Bentley, Senior Homewares Buyer from Freedom and picked her brains about their Christmas offering and how Freedom embraces an Australian Christmas.

In regards to entertaining, Korryn explains, “An Australian Christmas is unique because we’re often making the most of the sunshine. We entertain outside, or with the doors flung open and the sunshine streaming in. We decorate tables with fresh flowers, it’s not your traditional Christmas.” So how do Freedom interpret this? “We want people to celebrate their own style, mix and match. Christmas is about applying your own style stamp. It’s about celebrating life, family, friends – all gathered around the table, relaxed and happy, making memories.”

Now what about gifting? “The most joy comes from giving – and we’ve had fun coming up with a great range of Christmas ideas this year – to suit all your favourite friends and family. Whether you’re shopping for Kris Kringle gifts, someone who loves to entertain, a nature lover, or someone with more eclectic tastes, we’re confident we’ve got something stylish for you to give.”

Lastly, Christmas heralds the season of unexpected guests and it’s often hard to squeeze everyone in. What does Freedom offer to make sure you’re prepared? “Extra seating (our Quad stools are awesome) that serves double duty – later it can be used as a simple bedside option, a spare bed (try Sleepover here – it’s compact and super comfy), and extra tableware.”
