The Style Co

I used wedding stylists and event planners The Style Co for my wedding and they were so wonderful. Marie and her team did not set a foot wrong and I was so happy with the results. It looked exactly how I envisioned it.

My brief was ‘white, mirror, glass, crystal, candle light.’ The killer feature was an enormous fresh floral chandelier of hydrangeas, LED lights and dangly crystals hanging over the dance floor (I am soooooo over traditional chandeliers as wedding light features- they have been done to death).

We got married at The Carousel on the Albert Park lake on NYE but as lots of people get married there, we wanted to do something different with the venue. We planned a ceremony on the deck immediately followed by Champagne, oysters and canapés. The guests then moved inside for a formal sit down dinner. While this was occurring, Marie and her team busily (and secretively) built an amazing open-air lounge on the deck complete with white leather ottomans, huge mirror plinths, copious white blooms and candlelight. It was the perfect environment to watch the NYE fireworks from.

In this short amount of time her team also built an incredible circular, glowing cocktail bar in the foyer (which I don’t have any photos of- sob) stocked full of ridiculously yummy spirits and ¬†summer cocktails (which I couldn’t drink any of due to my growing foetus!). The cocktail bar was also styled to perfection with gorgeous blooms. The guests were in awe as the curtains were drawn back and the new cocktail bar plus outdoor, open-air lounge setting was revealed.

Marie took charge of everything and made sure she stuck to my very tight brief. The perfect person to have around on your one big day.

Please check out her website for other chic weddings and events she’s styled- she’s a ripper!

Also, stay tuned for more wedding goodness…
